I just purchased an 03' G35 Sedan with the 6M tranny. This car is rated at 260hp, the 04' is 280hp, and the 05 is 298hp.

What are the mechanical differences between these cars that make up 38hp between 03 and 05? Are these differences bolt ons?

FYI; The 03's on paper have 260 hp....but they are underrated. In real life it's 280 hp.

The 298's have a different ECU program.
Be aware tho that most of them are very close in performance.

All basically the same engine performance. What sort of deal did you get

 

I paid 27k here in Canada for it (Calgary, Ab). It's a black manual with grey interior. It has 3 very tiny rock chips, aside from that, absolutely mint. 46,000 km on it (28,000 miles), with brand new stock rubber and brakes. No complaints really.

I don't recall all the diferences, but there are more than just tuning & ECU.
Some internals, intake etc.

There have been a couple of threads on the topic..
try searching "revup" (a nickname for the 05+ MT engine)

 

Yes, it does have the Aero package, premium sound, and sun roof. Pretty much everything.
