New Tranny In My 05 G ... Like Whoa!

Finally ...

After 10 days without my baby, and a 04 X loaner that had a filthy interior (I ended up cleaning it a bit for them, couldn't put up with it) I got my car back.

They swapped in a brand new tranny for me, as the one that came with my car had a leak in the rear seal. Causing the transmission to flare and misshift.

Surprizingly, Agincourt Infiniti (Toronto,Canada) were really nice about it, despite all the bad stuff I've heard of them.

When picking up the car I saw the work order ... and the total cost they were billing Infiniti Canada including parts and labour was $5980.50

I made a comment about that ... then the service advisor said with a smile "Don't U just love warrenty" hahaha

Anyways ... its been a good experience despite the fact my car was defective! :P

The 04 X grew onto me by the 7th day ... I guess a "G" is a "G" is a "G" ... great cars.

Glad to see you got your car back Eric. You don't like to see anything go bad on our cars but if it does it's great to hear that the problem is resolved quickly and without hassle.
I'm curious what on your opinion of the performance of the 04X compared to the 05X after driving it for 10 days.

Hey Wayne, clean cars always drive better than dirty ones so it's not a fair comparo.

Very true Deane, they always seem to work much better when clean and shiny, at least it always feels that way .

OK OK ... to answer a few questions.

To be honest, I dealt with a FEW of the reps. But the person who put the order in was 'Mike Yee'.

As for 04x vs 05x ... the 04x seemed a bit more harsh and raspy. The initial inertia of the car (1000-2500) the 04 seemed marginally quicker ... but once the tach climbed to 2500+ my 05 definitely seemed faster. Maybe the fact my 05x was clean made a difference! hahaha

I'm really glad my "G" is back!

Interesting that you've heard bad things about Agincourt - that's where I got my car and I've been pretty satisfied with them. Oh well, glad it worked out for you.
