Actual weight of 2005 6MT sedan... I weighed it.
FYI -
I have a client with a big drive-on scale. They sell rock, soil and such... the scale is required to be calibrated on a regular basis, and is said to be accurate +/- 10 pounds.
I went out there today and weighed my completely loaded 2005 6MT sedan.
Specs are:
Drum roll...................... 3640 pounds.
Take out me and my crap, and you get about 3480 ready to roll with everything in it, and optioned about as heavy as possible, with over half a tank of gas. Fill up the tank (~7 gallons), and you're pretty close to the official weight posted by Inifiniti of 3512 pounds. Which means that the weight of 3512 is about the heaviest a G35 can be in stock form.

Thanks for doing that and posting the details. Interesting that you're pretty well bang on with Infiniti's weight.
Now if someone can do the same for an 04 and the equivalent in coupes we'd be all set.

If they're in Austin, I can set them up with the scale. Kind of like a dyno - using the same machine would remove that variable.
I've heard of people using truck scales on the highway. I do not know how valid this is but if you REALLY want to know it may be worth going and speaking with the person working the scale. If it is not busy they may not have a problem with it.

FYI - As long as we're weighing:
all floor mats - 10 pounds
carpeted trunk mat - 10 pounds
base trunk mat - 2 pounds
spare tire - 34 pounds
tools/foam insert for spare - 4 pounds
So if you run the track, and remove the spare, tools, and floor mats... you're saving ~60 pounds. About 5hp gain in power.
Interestingly, the 2006 6MT sedan is listed as 3512 pounds, and the 6MT coupe is up at 3524 (active steer I would assume).
