My sedan now has Cusco sway bars.

Ok, I installed them today. I used the how to that a member of my350Z.com did. And I printed out the how to from the 350Z shop manuel I have.

They fit perfectly, no if's and or but's about it. This ends any questions about, "will the 350Z sway bars fit the sedan?" or "why aren't their any swaybars for the sedan?" Take your pick of 350Z aftermarket sway bars and have at it.

I took pics as a after thought and their still at walmart, so pics will come latter tonight. Since the how to at my350z.com is so good and has pics, I did not see the point and reinventing the wheel.

Way to early to say what I gained from putting them on. Understeer at low speeds seams to be greatly lessoned. I will be checked higher speed steady state cornering behavior latter on and I'll look into drop throttle at the limit behavior as well.

Sidenote: The Cusco's do not come with bushings, bracket's or new endlinks with poly bushings either. You reuse all the stock parts, which worked just fine. I would have prefered poly mounting bushings and new end links also with poly bushings, but at this point I'll take what I got and NOT have the chance of squeaking noises latter on.

If you have a question that I haven't answered, feel free to ask. Keep in mind that I haven't really tested them fully yet.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your report Are the bars the blue ones or gunmetal in color? I have seem so many that I can't place them right now.

Yea, need the strut tower brace! I put a Front Strut Tower Brace on
the wife's Maxima. What a difference! Then added the Stillen rear
sway bar. WOW! The Max is a different kind of car now. Handles
like a sports sedan instead of a cuuse liner. Wonder what they will
do the G35 Sedan?

I'm pretty sure new sway bars are destined for my sedan too, so I can't wait to hear what you think about these Cusco bars. Thanks also for your prior posts on this subject, they have been most helpful!

What is the 22" resonator you list as one of your mods?

Re: My sedan now has Cusco sway bars.

IQ9, the Cusco's are the blue one's, dual adjustable in the front.

townsley, I've had the 350Z springs and struts on the car for a little over a month, my review of them can be found here.

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...age=&view=&sb=

cato, You can't add strut tower bars to the G, not unless you figure out how to copy the special cap plates that nissan added on to the top of the Z's top front strut mount area. I will be working on such a mod as I scored a really good deal on a stock Z strut tower bar and the Crawford strut tower bar, it ain't gonna be easy I'll tell ya that right now. And the 22" resonator in my sig. That's what I replaced my premuffler with, a 22" magnaflow straight through glasspack. It flow's better than that premuffler thing and I picked up a bit of the coupe burble at idle to 1200rpm's, nice for only $70 total cost.

Subject: Struct tower bars for G35 sedan

To whom it may concern,

Do you guys carry any struct tower bars for G35 sedan?

dennis@bcautodesign.com or

info@bcautodesign.com

So I think Cusco made a struct bar for G35 sedan already.

Re: My sedan now has Cusco sway bars.

Oooh...you got me all worked up on these sway bars now. I want to know your thoughts for the Cusco and Eibach sway bars. In another post you said...

In reply to:

Cusco sway bar
35mm front (solid, not hollow)
22mm rear
Front sway bar has two settings of 20% and 37% stiffer then stock
Rear sway bar is 73% stiffer then stock.
$395 shipped (limited time offer)

Eibach specs from Eibach.com 34mm front 22mm rear
Front bar may be dual adjustable, rear bar is dual adjustable
$269 from www.tirerack.com should now be in stock.

What is the major difference other than the name brand? Shouldn't the 2-way Eibach adjustable front and rear be better than the Cusco ones where it is only adjustable in the front? Eibach sells at a great price as well compared to Cusco. Can you explain why you chose Cusco over Eibach?

It's still a G thang!!

Re: My sedan now has Cusco sway bars.

It is true that Eibach is famous for its performance springs while it still has a good comfort level.
Cusco is famous for things such as sway bars and struct bars........

Its a real good question unless someone tried both sway bars for their G.

Any muffler shop can either stocks them or they can order you one. Your car uses 2.5" diameter piping. Make sure you look at whatever one you want, BEFORE they install it. Look inside the thing and make sure it's a straight through design.

Gsedan35,

I am waiting for your results on the sway bars. How are they working out for you. I am thinking either the cusco or eibach swaybars. How do think the eibachs would work out for me should I choose them or should I just go with cusco. How long was the install and do you have to take the wheels off to install the swaybars?

The sways are working out great, nothing has come up yet on the issue of the Cusco's really stiff rear bar. But I'll still testing things in my own way. When I'm satisfied that I've tested very aspect, I'll do a post to talk about it in detail. I'll hint one thing, you will not wonder is their at work.

On the Eibach bars or Cusco bars? This is where I stand. While the Eibachs will no doubt offer more roll control than the stock bars, their spec's do not meet or beat the Cusco's in terms of stiffness, far as I'm concerned, only the EVO350 bars are at the same level. No matter how any of them may "word" their descriptions of their product.

The bar system that I would rather of used is the EVO350 bar set. Why? To get 20% less rear bar stiffness. Their are 2 reason's I don't have the EVO350 bars on my car. They is a issue right now where their working with a new bushing supplier to cure a squeek problem that some users have reported. Also, the Cusco bar's are $150 cheaper. I'm hedging a bet that the higher rear bar stiffness that the Cusco's have, won't be a issue. The Cusco's higher price vs the Eibachs is fully justified with greater roll control.

On the install? How long, 2 or 3 hours. It was honestly kinda a pain to do. But I was quoted $150 to install, to high in my book. You must place car on jack stands, remove the wheels, unbold the exhaust midpipe and actually get it off the bolt studs in the middle of the car and let the pipe hang to the ground. (The mid pipe section bolts at the muffler section have their nuts removed, but the piping is not actually removed, just the forward section is effected). Also the front under engine flat panel is removed.

Here's the how to I used from my350z.com you will have to be a registered member to see it. But if you want to do this yourself, it's a great how to. Hint, obey the tool recommendations (no allen key's however). The bolts holding the end liks on the front bar were extreamly hard to break, btw.
