So is there ANY word about finally getting 6MT offered on AWD models?

Or do we still have to step over to a Volvo S60R, up to an S4, or down to an STi, Legacy, or Evo to get that in a sporty sedan?
*sigh* =\

I have a G35 Coupe 5AT right now and I've had it with the automatic. It's actually at the dealer right now for them to see if they can find out wtf is up with the sloppy shifting it sometimes exhibits.
Regarding your reply: I don't see why they bother to offer the 6MT at all on the sedan then, since rarely do people buy a manual trans in a sports sedan at all, regardless of the transmission it uses. If anything, enthusiasts would probably prefer the AWD, no? It certainly seems like a large number of Coupe owners would have bought it with AWD were that available.

Infiniti won't have an AWD 6MT ... period. If you're looking at awd sedans you can shift, don't forget the subaru legacy gt. It's a definite sleeper and is a great value too, just like our G's. And yes, there are plenty of us 6mt sedan owners out there
as the next generation they might develop some awd system to be compatible with the 6mt but for now it is just only the 5 speed semi-auto

Other reasons would include the additional weight of the AWD system, the loss of steering feel and precision by having drivetrain components in the front, etc. I'm not trying to say that AWD does not have any advantages over RWD, it does, but it isn't a clear win-win and there are pros and cons on both sides. If an AWD 6sp manual sedan existed, I would have driven it to compare, but would probably still buy a RWD car and a set of winter tires.
