Fuel spout

Fuel spout
I just had the entire fuel spout replaced because the outer part of the neck was very rusted. Apparently the whole unit (from the filler neck to the tank) has to be replaced. No worries, as it was under warranty.
Now, when I remove the outer (plastic) gas cap and look in, there is no metal flap covering the hole where the fuel nozzel goes. I don't know what this part is called, but on all other cars I've owned, you have to push a hinged piece of metal out of the way when you insert the fuel nozzle. Now my G doesn't have that. Am I missing something?
I can post a pic if necessary. Can anyone help?
Thanks!
