No thanks, not a big fan of sticking things on my car. Painting, plating, screwing or bolting Im ok with, but taping, not so much. Just my .02

I think it's a lame too. I saw this on a Scion the other day and that just reconfirmed its lameness to me.

...Enough Said

Thanks for your honest opinions. I was not planning on ordering these, but thought it would be good to post and let everyone decide for themselves.

codeflux has these on his sedan. A search of the forums will net you some pics. My only comment is that you can't tell much difference from the stock black until you look up close and at angles where the carbon fiber will reflect light.

shodog you're fast.

yes, i do have them on my car. here's the original install thread:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/62973-carbon-fiber-b-pillars-sedan-lots-pics-56k-warning.html

highly recommend them - they do *not* look like they are "stuck on" - they look like tge *belong*.

i have some pics are here, since the ones on the thread are corrupted:

I admit, they do look good. Better than I would have thought, but still not my thing.

Love mine on the M, and assume they'll look equally good on the G.

Got them form Jason Burtman at www.burtmanindustries.com . Good guy, excellent quality, reasonably priced.

I also have them, the stock pillars were already stained and bad looking so I got these and they look great! I also bought them from Jason Burtman, great guy! They aren't very obvious, but they are subtle and I get many questions and compliments from them.

I would purchase them more for function over appearance the stock highly polished door pillars smudge the carbon fiber pillars will not show the smudge marks as badly as the stock black door pillars. I don't have the pillars and can live with the smudging but once I get to a point where I am tired of passengers touching the pillar area with their hands I would invest in these.

With all that being said buy them I think that is a good explaination to justify the purchase!

But don't worry Perry, they're made of Carbon Fiber, so you're losing weight!! (Except that you're not since you're adding them to the car) teheheehehe

that is insane the cost of 4 pillars is more than the average cost of tinted windows. Why are they so expensive?

1. novelty
2. uniqueness
3. fit and finish
4. what i said in the original install thread:
this is not some cheap immitation or some poorly constructed product - this is the real thing. these overlays are tapered where the clear coat ends, and are cut perfectly straight on the edges. i've seen many kits that aren't cut straight and they just don't spend the time to do it right. the adhesive backing is also tucked in behind the pieces so dust/dirt won't collect on the edges.
