To be honest, it's going to be all of the board. Somewhere in 6 second range would be my guess, based on various magazine tests, and my own stop watch, using the semi-accurate speedo.
I think once these cars break in, they get quicker, so it will also depend on many miles are on the old odometer.
I believe Motortrend saw 0-60 in 6.5 seconds.
Automobile saw the G35x do 60 in around 7.2.
A really good number to look at is the trap speed a car can achieve in the quarter mile- Take that speed and consider the weight of the car, you'll get a great idea of how much power a car is really making.
Many cars are slow off the line, but are flying through the quarter-

is the AWD really that much slower off the line. a full second seems like too much.
the X weighs a few hundred extra pounds... that'll make a huge difference.
i have an '06 5AT sedan. can't say i have any conclusive measurements but it's definitely more than 5 seconds and definitely less than 7. 6-6.5 sounds just about right. has some real pickup and definitely feels faster than an auto coupe.

0-60 for the 06 5AT is somewhere between "plaid" and "ludicrous " speed
Seriously though, it's going to be anywhere from lower 6s to higher 5s assuming you brake stall the torque converter a bit. My 03's 14.3 1/4 mile equates to around 5.6-5.7 seconds according to the cars that pull off 14.3s in the mags and the 0-60 calculators that use 1/8 mile ET/MPH. I think it's safe to say any 03-06 RWD 5AT sedan can get these numbers.

True enough about the weight but the G35X is also geared differently. Look at the recent post about RPMs at 70mph (https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/80759-2006-g35x-rpms.html) and you'll get an idea of the difference. All "testers" come up with different 0-60 times. The particular car, driver, etc. can make a huge difference.Originally Posted by absolutg

Depends on where you look. This site has #1 and #2 a little whacked, but the rest look pretty reasonable. Has the x 1/2 sec slower, not a full sec, which makes sense to me.

When you say brake stall the torque conveter do you just mean apply the brakes a bit before launching. I'm assuming this what you mean.

You have your left foot on the brake while your right foot is on the gas pedal xx amount. When you launch you take your foot off the brake pedal. Faster launches. Brake Torquing is the term or Flashing the torque convertor

I agree with Dave.
The 05 auto sedans should have no trouble running 0 to 60 in the 5.6 to 5.9 range.

IIRC no automatic G35 has ever had a published performance test with a 0-60 result that fast. The manual cars are in that range with the autos usually in the low to mid 6's.

I agree with you that no mag has achieved numbers that quick for a G 5AT, but any car that's doing sub 14.4s, assuming they're getting traction, is doing sub 6 second 0-60s.Originally Posted by boones

I have an 03 sedan 5at....just got an Injen CAI and an Eibach drop.
I've clocked in my 0-60 at about 6.1 seconds.
