I just thought i would share my experience with a dealership that i had. Ive posted in a few threads about suspension creeks which i see a decent amt of people have. i have an 05x w/ 13500 miles. Since alot of people here had their compression rods replaced with success, i asked them to check that. The first two times infiniti looked at it they lubed the axles and said the compression rods were fine. the noise was still there..third time they replaced stabilizer links and bushings...noise still there..GUESS WHAT??? the fourth time they finally changed the compression rods and the noise is gone. Ok so down to the shady business..It took me an hour to get a receipt. they tried to give me the same receipt when they changed my stabilizer links.. Then i was told that they had to use another car to get the part because the warranty dept would have kicked it out..Could not get him to elaborate on that although i have to say he was very nice throughout the whole process. Im guessing if warranty work needs to be down infiniti pays them for the labor and ships the part. but if they dont fix the problem the first time they prob dont get paid for the same prob twice.. Prob so infiniti doesnt have to pay that dealers labor everytime. i dont know if that makes sense or correct but thats what i thougtht. or two they didnt want me to have documentation that this is the fourth attempt at them fixing it incase of lemon law. Maybe im wrong on that too..but it was very hard for me to get that new receipt. If anyone has the same prob with their car make them look at the compression rods and dont let them bull crap u about lubricationg anything. its not going to work

oh and it does seem that the problem is fixed now.lol. i also have to admit that the service guy was really nice and made sure that i got a receipt. i dont like to bash people because that isnt nice either. but the whole receipt thing threw me for a loop. just seemed shady.

Just curious, what dealership is this?
My dealership told me they have to replace my front left compression rod to eliminate the creaking, but it turns out that they're backordered on the part.

I followed your posts on the other post about this creak. Glad to hear they finally decided to listen and change the compression rods. For the life of me, I just couldn't understand why they were too stupid to look at that in the beginning. Sure enough, it does sound strange about the receipt. But, good thing you stood your ground and demanded it!

competition in smithtown. im not trying to bash them because they fixed the problem and my service guy was nice to me..its not his fault that the car wasnt fixed..plus the receipt thing is stupid. but what could they have said no im not giving you one.

thanks... i drove the car to work today with no issues.. im glad they got it fixed. i am curious though to see when it gets below 30. thats when it happened mainly. i just really hope i dont have anymore issues with this car..the squeaks and rattles tsb made everything worse. so im not having them touch it again. but im really contemplating not going back there anymore. its not that they didnt resolve my issue, but i feel uncomfortable given the whole run around with that receipt.
