Bose: CD Err F0

I'm getting an "CD Err F0" message on my CD player and I can't eject any CDs from it. I was able to play one of them, but now I got the same error again. It thinks it only has one CD inside, where in reality there are 5 loaded.

It lets me load new CDs but I'm afraid to do it, since I know that in those particular slots I have CDs already loaded. It seems like it doesn't recognize it has CDs in certain slots (although the eject command failed).

Any ideas ?

Traian, Yeh it's one of those little nuisance bugs of the Sedan and Coupe. There have been quite a few posting here with the same issue, (some more than once).
See your dealer. He'll order a new deck, and explain how to get back your loaded CD's. G/L

Thanks a lot. Having the ability to play CDs while driving is quite important !

Re: Bose: CD Err F0

This has happened to me TWICE now. First time was a week after I bought the car in July 2002. It was 6 weeks before they got me a new radio, and another 6 weeks before I saw my CDs again. After many complaints to Nissan/Infiniti, they finally settled my anger by paying for a month of my car. All well and good, but on July 24, 2003, it happened again. :-( VERY annoying, and my dealer is incredibly uncaring.

I've got you beat. They've replaced mine 3 times now.

You know, I'd be happy if they'd just give me a freakin' loan car when they have to swap it out.. but nope. Nothing.

If it happens again, it's going to start leaving a certain yellow citrus taste in my mouth....

Wow. I already warned my dealer that if I have to go through it again, I will be taking it up with arbitration to at least get the trunk-loading CD player and the nav system. And I have every intent to do so.

I doubt you'll get the nav system after-the-fact. It's been quoted at $6000 in parts and labor to add it on if you didn't get it as a factory option. You'd be better off with an aftermarket nav system at this point.

I just want them to step up and put one of the newer "improved" 2004 head units in my car. They don't want to do that yet.

If you look in your owner's manual package, you'll find this number on one of the cards in there.

So far, all I've gotten out of them is the hint of being able to extend the warranty on the cd player beyond the standard car warranty if it's a recurring problem. Truth be told, it better get fixed quick.. I don't plan on keeping it that long if it isn't.

Yeah, but it'll be a heckofalot cheaper for them to give me that than to replace my car. I've actually had enough problems (in addition to the radio) with it that a good lawyer could successfully call Lemon on it. :-)

Re: Bose: CD Err F0

I don't really care what's cheap for them. I paid good money for my car, and I want it to work as advertised. I don't want my money back, I want my car fixed. But, if they can't fix it, then there's not much else to ask for....
