05 Brilliant Silver sedan rear bumper
does any one see a good color difference between the color of the rear bumper and the body? is it b/c or material difference? i got in a small fender bender and had it repainted, so that might be why but i also noticed it when i bought it....please gimme your thoughts...

Did you think all silver paint is the same??? If it doesn't match...then it's not the same paint used. I don't think Infiniti will start putting cars together in different shades of paint.
Go to your dealer and ask them about the spring.
and you should say thank you and not take answers for granted.

I don't have any color variations at all. If you do it's most likely due to the aftermarket bumper not being OEM and or the paint itself. Bring it to the attention of the body shop that did the body work it is suppose to match the rest of your car or else they haven't done something correct. Paint codes are the same regardless and if the paint is not matching up then most likely they haven't put down enough coats. Another possiblity is they may tell you that the paint is not done curing to your bumper.

I have two experiences with this ...
When I bought my car it had 7000 miles and the rear had definitely been in a small fender-bender. The paint was way off. I had the dealership re-paint it and it was pretty darn close to matching.
As it turns out, I was rear-ended on new years eve day ... and had a highly reputable shop do the work (covered under insurance claim). Though the paint comes close to matching in shade and color, it's off on the metallic reflection / sparkle (can't come up with a better term). You can see the difference more at night when bright lights are on it. I am waiting a couple more days for curing, etc before I bring it back in.
Finally, on just about every g35 I have seen (including ones at the dealership and in parking lots) there is a difference between the rear bumper and body colors. I would think it has to do with the material that it is being painted. Metal and plastic/polymer will not react the same way to the same paint, no matter how hard you try. I believe this to be true most specifically on highly reflective paint, like silver, carib blue, and plat colors. Full colors (like red, black, white) won't be as obvious.
Good luck!
