I used to have the HKS muffler. It sounds nice. Not too loud at all.

would that midpipe even work with the X? doesnt the X have totaly different piping?

Would that HKS muffler work on an 06 G35x?

Yes, that pipe works on an AWD - I just installed it on my G35X today and am very happy with the sound. I really don't feel any HP increase, but there is definitely a "bass note" that it previously lacked.

I believe loudest to the most mellow is Borla, Stillen, HKS...but don't quote me on this. Also, I believe Borla is a full cat-back exhaust, stillen makes a cat-back exhaust plus just the rear section exhaust and I believe HKS is rear section only.

I had the Stillen single with a coupe middy 'till I got smart and just got the whole damn Gen 2 'X' Stillen catback. It was fine I guess......biggest gain was just the weight savings and nice sound.
