I made a discovery today...
I always check the back seat of a car I'm thinking of buying. That being said, I was embarrassed to only discover that the rear windows went all the way down a few weeks after buying mine in October 04. I was gratified later in the year when this came up before that I was not the only one. Another humbling moment!

Yeah..isn't it nice!? My VW had this also....it's great. Have you yet discovered that the rear doors open 90 degrees (this is not common)!? This is an AWESOME design IMO.

I did not know this either. This will be really good when spring rolls around. I love driving with the windows down. This is my first car with a sunroof and I am already enjoying the heck out of it!
Hmmm. I guess I hadn't noticed that. I always have the windows open, I just didn't realize they typically stop midway. Definately a cool feature.
I did notice the rear door opened far, but still a small opening.

I am not sure how many of you know WHY rear windows go down part way or all the way....
It all depends on the rear tire arch. If the arch extends forward enough, it will prevent the window from rolling all the way down. Many of todays cars have "stretched" wheelbases, meaning the tires are placed closer to the ends of the car than they used to be. This allows the rear window to go down.
