Need your advice please

hi guys i am new to this forum. i used to have a 2000 nissan maxima GLE and just recently got my 2003 g35 in pearl white. i had several questions that i needed some advice/tips on.

#1 is there any way possible to get the STOCK navigation system on my car? ive seen a navigation system that was taken right off of a totalled 2003 g35 for sale on ebay. it was the entire front piece including the cd player heat/ac control if i buy it and put it in my car will it work with the furl economy and etc. I've seen the aftermarket navigation i can get from digitalwheelz.com that fits right in the same place the stock navi would fit but i dont like it.

#2 i got my car for $18,500 with 51000 miles 6 cd changer, 17 inch rims, HIDs, Mint condition. did i get a good deal?

#3 since my car has 17 inch rims, does that mean i have the sport suspension? im asking becuase ive seen 2003 g35s with 16 inch rims, so i figured maybe the ones with 17 inch rims come with the sport suspension. i read the post on calling the dealership with the VIN but they put me on hold for 30 mins and then said to call back cuz no one was availble to help.

#4 my car came with the gray colored "body kit"? i guess its called side skirts. i hate it. it looks horrible. i want to get the one where its all metal and painted white..(mine is gray and plastic, i think they call it scruff guards? ) where can i get this at the cheapest price possible? (i'm 20 yrs old and a college student so i'm on a budget) i like the OEM body kit and spoiler. where can i get it from?

any help would be appreciated. thanks !

1) Not sure on this one. I bet you could but unless the stock wiring harnesses are there it would be a big pain. I just got an aftermarket system that also does DVD and has a hard drive. You don't get the fuel info with the aftermarket ones.

2) If it's mint, that is a good deal IMO.

3) Is it a 6MT or Auto? Just because you have the wheels does not mean you have the suspension.

4) All the body kit parts are either plastic or fiberglass; none of them are metal because plastic is more forgiving. The 03 and 04 sedans came with the grey plastic and the 05+ have the body color matched parts. I have an 04 and I had the body shop paint my front end so it was all black. I got the Nismo side skirts that are color matched and they also make a rear add on that is matched. They look way better, even on my black G. The Nismo parts are not the cheapest but they come painted so after you figure in painting them it is usually cheaper. Even if you buy the stock 05+ parts they still have to be painted and from what I have read the front does not fit the 03/04.

1) Yes it can be done, there was a guy on cardomain.com that had about 10 pages of the process and how much of a PITA it was but he eventually got it in and everything worked great and looked good.
2) It sounds like a pretty good deal to me considering you can get well over 120K miles with it if you take care of it.
3) Dont know cuz i have an 05
4) If i were you i'd just get the oem NISMO front bumper and get the black plastic sides and rear painted to match (much cheaper if you're on a budget) Everythingg35 sells it for a good price pre-painted (they are a vendor on the site)
good luck with the car, post some pics if you get a chance and welcome
