my thoughts on the coupe midpipe

ok so last week i installed the coupe midpipe on my 03 sedan
and let me tell you, now i see what the fuss was all about. The midpipe gave me exactly what i wanted, nice exhaust tone at every rpm, almost as loud as the coupe, great, at low rpms & at WOT, and the weight saving alone is worth the price as people have mentioned before, the stock midpipe is a fuken COW. Thanks for the advice to everyone.

I added the coupe mid-pipe to my 03 sedan with the HKS muffler. WOW! It sounds better than a coupe IMHO. I love it!

I have had two HKS mufflers now. I bought the first one slightly used from a member here who was selling his sedan. I paid $250 for that one. Late last year some "punk" ran into my rear end at full speed. I had the insurance company replace the original one. The body shop ordered it directly from HKS and paid around $450 for it. It is awesome! I was driving my Honda in front of a friend who was driving my G35 sedan....GOD! I could hear this rumble behind me. It is way better than the coupe sound.....

I have the coupe middy on my '05 and i like it, you get a little deeper tone (not very noticable at first) and a little drone at 1500-1900 which i actually like, it sounds really good once its nice and warmed up. Plus it saves a few LBS. too

Was the HKS muffler installed before or after the plenum? I have ztube/stillen similar to yours, my 05 middy a little off vs your coupe midpipe but should sound familiar. I know plenum makes a nice sound but I won't go that route. So just curious if you had HKS muffler before plenum? Also, have you heard 05 stock exhaust? Just curious what is the difference...

Anyone out there replaced 05/06 exhaust with HKS sport muffler?

A must upgrade for the sedan, especially the 03 and 04.
