Question A/C Air Cabin Filter Replacement

Hey folks,

I want to replace the OEM A/C Air Cabin Filter and want to know where you folks get it at?

While searching through the forums, I see a lot of people mentioning "Grubbs" and I checked it out and got this:

http://www.grubbsperformance.com/Mer...Category_Code=

Is this the part? If so, is this the cheapest in price for the OEM filter?

Is this the same filter as pictured in this website?

http://www.g-owners.com/article_read.asp?id=29

Thanks!

Yes, that's the correct one. I ordered mines too but haven't intsalled it yet. They also have a charcoal one that is more expensive.

So you ordered from their website? If so, how fast is their shipping?

Did you order the charcoal one? I assume this is better because I read around here that it filters better?

Thanks!

The charcoal one does NOT filter any better than the regular one. The charcoal helps to remove the odor.

You can also PM Gordgee (one of the admins). He sells the Grounding Gear Ground Wires and In Cabin Micro Filter. It might be a cheaper alternative.

a/c filter

parts america has a purolator c35530 $17.34 same as the oem with the shipping.
replaced it a week ago no problem but they should have installed it in a more convenient place i hate to keep pulling on all those clips every year, somethings gonna break sooner or later.

That is a good price, but how good are these alternative cheap filters? I am all for being cheap in price, but not in quality especially if it's lower than OEM.

Thanks for the help mates, I appreciate it!

I ordered from Grubbs. Took a few days. Didn't order charcoal, they don't have it.

If you don't want/need the charcoal type, then the Purolator is the way to go at a much better price. It looks exactly like OEM.

cabin filter

the purolator is the same as the nissan of course it doesnot say nissan.
this is not a critical filter they are all the same.when you look at it, you will know what i mean. purolator is a trusted brand.there is no way that the others are worth any more than 20 bucks. it a giant mark up. infiniti hype.

I recently ordered one from Gord... I wanted the active charcoal and hepa so I went with him - his wires are quality so I figured the filters should be too. Shipping from Canada so it will be a couple of weeks... I'll post once installed to let you know if the active charcoal reduces odors (I have a musky/dirty smell when running fan w/no AC).

Hey thanks everybody for their responses I appreciate it!

It looks like I am going with the Puralator Cabin Filter. I don't need the charcoal, don't have any odor problems coming from the A/C. However, I am sure there will be plenty of dust and dirt as I live in the ever so dry and sandy Las Vegas.
