Hello everyone, first time poster, long time lurker. My question is actually for a co-worker of mine who owns a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan. She says that she needs a new windshield wiper motor (they thump as she shuts them off), and of course, the dealer confirmed the thump.

The dealer said a new w.w. motor would run her $400.00. That seems extremely high to me. Has anyone experienced similar wiper problems? And if you've replaced your motor, how much did it run you? I suggested getting an aftermarket motor and having an independent but reputable garage install it. I don't own an Infiniti though, so I figured I'd ask the experts here. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

well the dealer should fix it under warranty, and it might help if she does a search for an
INFINITI windshield wiper motor

Unfortunately the vehicle is no longer under warranty.

Get the part number, and search online. There are sites that sell OEM parts for much lower than what dealerships will charge you.

here's an idea, why dontcha get rid of the Camaro and get a G... then you can swap wiper motors with your co-worker, then have the dealer replace it under waranty! ...nah, don't do that, that's fraud-- even if the dealer was trying to rip your co-worker's **** off!

oh, btw welcome to the forum *don't forget the pic*

Ahem. Excuse him, for a variety of reasons. He's apparently so smitten with the idea of meeting someone, that in his daze, he misread your post.

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...03&catalogid=1 is what you want, and they cost around $240.
