hm... i thought about those....

did you want those for HIDs?? I don;t think they come with ballasts or bulbs. You may want to rethink that.

it says it doesn't work with HID ballasts. just wanted a cheaper alternative to HID's. what about the black housing?

You say you want a cheaper alternative to HID's but these arent HID lights, they are regular halogen lights like the ones you already have just with a painted black housing. I'm confused on what you're looking for here. They would be good to use for a projector retrofit but other than that your lighting output will not be any different than what it is now with your stock lights. Unless you got an HID conversion kit and paired it with these housings but that would cost up near $700 even if you did it all yourself.

I think he is saying he wants to do something to his headlights and this is a cheaper alternative than HID's. In other words he only wants it for the blacked out housing.

Correct me if I am wrong....

blacked out housing, and cleared lense for the blinker... nice. there are a few people on here that paid a lot more for 260 for just that. (i'm referring to, of course, clearcorners.com). they black out, clear out (and replace with led's) the blinker, and put angel eyes on the headlights for almost $1000. this and the demon kit, and you've got the same thing... for half as much.

I have a buddy here at work that did not get HID's on his sedan and he just kept looking on ebay and ended up getting a set of oem HID headlights for a few hundred bucks.

Or you can just get a aftermarket plug and play HID kit. The light output would not be as good as OEM since the housing is not designed for HID's but it would still help a lot! I have added aftermarket HID's to my last few cars and bikes and they work very well.

I got the demon eye kit for ~$250 and put them in myself. They are so awesome. Pictures can't show how bright they are. They are the one mod that gets the most comments on my car.

He didnt buy the ones you were thinking about on ebay (the blacked out housing halogen lights) he bought the OEM HID headlights (probably someone selling them off there totalled G35).

If you were to combine the blacked out hosing with the demon eye kit it would look very nice but you still wouldnt have HID's unless you bought a kit which costs another few hundred bucks. So you would end up spending near $800.

i don't mean to hijack, but, could you please post a pic?

i've been contemplating this route vs. clearcorners headlight housing. truthfully, it's because i'm afraid about the whole opening the housing, and resealing it myself. and i also want the clear blinker as well... but $1k? it's a bit much.

Arabone, those JDM nockoffs are a good deal. If you get them make sure to add some more silicon around edges before install. I think the lights are cool if you like the JDM look. Please do not put an HID kit on these blacked out lenses there may be some type of melting on the lenses from the HID bulb.
I will be snatching a set pretty soon. K
