New g35 driver-what a blast

I have only had my G35 for 5 days. What a blast. I'm an ex BMW 328i driver. This car is just soooooo much fun to drive. It definately wants to go fast. real fast. My commute home is a 25 mile stretch on a slightly curvy 3 lane road. this car handles amazing on this type of road. brakes are exceptional at high speed (90mph), ok, moderate speed for you extra fast drivers. The pickup from 70- 90 is amazing. I felt so safe driving and had so much fun that.......you can take it from here.

Yeah. 50-70, 70-90, 100-120... it's all the same to the G35.

Welcome! I know what you mean about those curves. I live in the NW part of a city that connects to center city by way of a narrow downhill 3-mile long very winding chute along a river. When no one is on the road in the middle of the night, it's really a blast. Enjoy!

Welcome to your G35!
It is a blast to drive, but the downside is I can't get out of
it....putting too many miles on it.

Man I hear that! In my last car I put on maybe 700-800 miles a month. I'm on target for 1,200 a month now with the new G. Gotta try and quit that, but it's so hard! It started because I wanted to get the first 1,200 breakin over with quick. Now, I just love it too much. The wife thinks I'm nuts when I tell her I'm going out for a drive to nowhere particular. So very glad I got the G. Enjoy!

By the way, my 6MT also did not feel as quick as it should after the breakin, but it's getting better. I want to try the battery disconnect (although it's more of a concern with the ATs), but I can't find that long of time to pull it when I won't need to be driving it!!!

well, I haven't opened her up yet. I'm still only at 500 miles and it's week three - I'm just waiting for the 1200 mile break in to finish so I can open her up and hit 70-90 miles.

There was the rental that Infiniti gave me while they were fixing my alignment - that car only had 400 miles and I had some fun with that one.

Ditto. I got my G a month ago and I've already got 1700 miles on it. It's so hard to walk away from a beauty like that...

I have 8500 miles on my baby in 6 months. I love driving her, but I hate the fact that I put a lot of stop and go miles on her.
I think she feels best at 80 mph! Ready to haul from there...

Re: New g35 driver-what a blast

i was doing 90mph with 25 miles on the car. just don't redline it. you can drive 90mph at a low rpm on a highway
