Am I gonna get used to brakes
I am only in my second week driving my new g35. i used to drive a 328i 1997. In general, I really love this car. However, I hate the brakes. Yes, I know they stop on a dime at highway speeds. But, they are so damn touchy. They also jerk when driving slow to a stop like no other car I have driven. But mostly, they are just too sensitive.

I think you will get used to them. I am. The only time I notice it is when parking - really low speed stuff. It is hard to keep them from grabbing. But it doesnt bother me. Many of us plan to change our brake pads to a harder compound, more because of the dust generation than anything. This should reduce the grabbyness as well.

It does take a little getting used to. You do get used to it. However, when I drive my wife's Expedition for awhile (brakes are FAR from touchy.. gotta plan those stops ahead a bit), then the first couple of stops in the G35 tend to be a bit abrupt. You do get used to it.

I have no problem stopping perfectly smoothly in this car... but I can see by all the brake dust that longevity might be a problem.

Took me awhile before my kids stopped looking like bobble heads in the back seat but I have adjusted.
Only thing I can warn you about is going into another car. You get real used to the good brakes and when I went in my wifes caravan, I almost ran a few stops signs. so be careful that way

After a few weeks, you should definately get used to the brake sensitivity. I used to feel the same way. Now I love the quick response. Makes ya feel safe knowing that you can stop on a dime.
