6mt Sedan Official Performance numbers?
6mt Sedan Official Performance numbers?
Hello all,
Has Infiniti released performance numbers for the 6mt version of the G35 Sedan? I've been looking for a while now and haven't found anything on the 6mt except for MotorTrends "First Drive" numbers of 5.78 0-60 and 14.2(something) 1/4 mile. Anyone know of any other numbers out there for the 6mt Sedan?
thanks,
Riv

Re: 6mt Sedan Official Performance numbers?
mine:
14.457 @ 98.7 at 1700 ft altitude, corrected to 14.2 at sea level
does that help at all?
btw this was on a 95 degree day in phoenix, humidity around 10%
60' of 2.31, no weight reduction, pulled the spare and jack only, ran with an 1/8 of a tank or so on 91 octane shifted at 6800,6500,6300 roughly
Nowhere to go but down 14.0 sounds very reasonable on a cool day for me. 13.9 is likely for those of you at sea level.
I had one run that I trapped at 101 mph but my quarter was only a 14.7. I don't know if it was a mistake or what but I trapped at 101 on the slip
That is a 13.8-13.9 time trap speed.

3point5SE_Auto:
Thanks for the response, I'm guessing by your nickname that you have a Auto Maxima? Those numbers are sweet but I was more looking for 6mt G35 sedan numbers and in particular the official ones from Infiniti, if they have any. I just wanted to know what Infiniti says this car will do.
Thanks,
Riv

Re: 6mt Sedan Official Performance numbers?
Infiniti doesn't say what times the car will do. Motor trend and car and driver say it will do anywhere from 14.1 to 14.5 an you should NEVER magazine race close cars. .3 or .4 seconds can easily be dependent on the driver, tire condition, ecu history, track traction, weather and others. DO NOT COMPARE CARS BASED ON MAGAZINE TIMES!
Actual time below;
Read my profile, I have a 6MT sedan, senor.

Re: 6mt Sedan Official Performance numbers?
Every time I read your times 3.5 I wish I had a 6 speed...your 60' times are the same as mine...it's being able to get exactly what you need out of each gear that makes all the damn difference. :-) Now go get that 13.9 in our beloved sedan.
I am practicing this launch with my VDC toggle switched off and I am expecting some mid 14s the next time it's not raining or a 100 up at the track. I am also going to experiment with adding PSI to my rear wheels to get some more slip for a more aggressive launch. A 2.1 60' time for me will be low to mid 14's...for you...high 13's which is insane. Woohoooooo!
