brembo for sedan?

does anybody know if the brembos from the coupe or the Z will fit the sedan? are there bracket issues, line length differences? has anybody tried it?

Re: brembo for sedan?

Those aren't the Brembos from the Coupe or 350Z.. that's Brembo's aftermarket big brake upgrade for the Sedan.

True, but as long as the wheel has clearance the Z's brake set-up should fit...I recommend the Big Brake Kit simply for the fact that it's 4-Piston at all 4 corners, or you can snap your neck and go for 6-Piston all around...

Re: brembo for sedan?

If I wanted to make my brakes better and avoid brake dust without going for a full big brake kit what should I get?

Re: brembo for sedan?

Nismo brake pads are nice from what I understand, as are Alcon...That's one way to get around the dust issue...I suppose you could just throw down the same set-up as the Z, 4-Piston front 2-Piston rear Brembos...

Re: brembo for sedan?

Other brake pad options for equal/better performance with less dust would be EBC Greenstuff, AXXIS Deluxe/Deluxe Plus, and Hawk HPS Street pads. Haven't tried any yet.

Re: brembo for sedan?

thanks SPOT . . . what did those set you back? close to 3k i'm thinking? The reason I asked, is that I was going to try to pick up a set of the factory's because if it does fit, I know it will fit perfectly and ALL the quirks will be nill . . . I know brembo's reputation, I almost got a set for the supra, but there's something about things coming from the factory for me on this car that I just love . . .

I'm just doin a little research so that the next guy to upgrade his Z or Coupe brembos to a 6 piston or something, I already know if it'll fit or not . . .

Re: brembo for sedan?

Question:

Are the brake pads on the G35 sedan the same as the ones on the G35 coupe/350z without Brembo's? Therefore, allowing me to purchase 350z brake pads for my sedan.

It's still a G thang!!

Re: brembo for sedan?

I believe that they are in fact the same pads...There would be no reason I can think of that would have Nissan use separate brake pads on the equivalent Infiniti product...I can't imagine that the Nismo pads are bad are sub-par when compared to any other aftermarket pad

Re: brembo for sedan?

The kit retails for $2995. I did a prototype deal with Brembo, so a special deal was done.

The cost for the OEM vs. the real Brembo upgrade kit is near the same, and the Big Red kit that I have is not only larger, but 2.5lbs a corner lighter.

If you have the money to spend, go with the Big Red Brmbo kit, you will not regret it......

BTW, I will have the rears installed this week......
