We all know how much bose suck. I dont even know why they even started making systems for cars. and its true, $900 upgrade is just crap. U could get something wayyy better then paying for this ****.
In the other hands, i'm very happy with my bose, i think the reason is i never have it loud so i dont loose qualitty. I always have my vol from 15-20 or max 22. After 22 i see the qualitty is beind lost.

Actually, all the Nissan/Infiniti head units are made by Clairion, and they are the biggest pieces of **** in the world. I routinely replace 2-3 a week on the Nissan's at work. I am actually taking my G in today to have mine replaced. Sometimes when I turn off the car and turn it back on, my xm channel is back on channel 01 and my treble/bass settings are back at 0.
Plus, one time non of the controls on the actuall unit would work, and the display would not change. Only the steering wheel controls worked.
The Sentra I had previously had the cd player replaced 3 times.

The stock BOSE system (Clarion head unit) sounds fine to me, but I rarely listen to my music over "14" and I don't require earth shattering bass and extreme clarity. I out grew the fancy stereo stuff back in highschool. It's just to dang expensive and I hate wiring. BTW, some of the audio systems you're comparing the BOSE system to cost about $1,500-2,500 more.

Just got a 2006 g35 sedan with premium sound. I cannot believe how bad it is. My old VW Passat sounded much better. I am thinking of selling this car after only 2 weeks of owning it.

I'm with ya, and it's not only because of the Sound System...

Yeah the radio blows, but 90 percent of the time im listening to sat radio, and the sound quality there is not so great.
GIven the crappy source, i think the unit is a perfect match. If it were any better, the compression on sirius would be unbearable.
Best sound system i heard was on the TL.
The cds that the acura salesmen played over the TL were awesome.

lol.. this wouldn't happen to be related to the side impact scores recently released would it? I don't think it's THAT bad (then again I came from a bone stock, non-upgraded Subaru sound system)... I mean it's not great, it definitely rates average on the scale of sound quality but when it comes down to it, it gets the job done. You know Infiniti is going to continue using Bose in the 07 G35 (G37 I guess?) because they use it in the new M and updated FX series... accept it or move up the price scale to Lexus and enjoy.. I just hope you don't live in the northeast with the IS350 unless their nanny systems are THAT good which I doubt. There is only so much a computer system can do. That being said, I took our '04 Accord in NY's worst blizzard to date recently and the car handled like a champ with TCS... Who knows but trading it after two weeks.. that's a huge waste of money... go adopt a kid in Africa for 99 cents a day instead.

As I said this goes way beyond the Sound System. And besides, I have a friend who purchased the IS350 and he has a set of Blizzaks and it's great in the snow. As good as AWD - no, but it's about 80% close..
