I'll give you the birds-eye view is nice, but there are others out that offer this as well.

I, as many others here are no where near your gas milage. I'm glad to see your getting decent gas milage , but I'm referring to MPG - you must have the Canadian spec G35 in Km/h

dude, I live in St. Louis. Km/h would give you the speed in kilometers - the same as mph in America - miles per hour - not a measure of fuel consumption. I assume you mean km/L? if I meant kilometer per liter, I would not have written mpg (miles per gallon) in my post. Anyway, I drive an X also believe it or not. There have been some other 05X owners here also that have gotten the same gas mileage as me on long highway trips - not hard....just set the cruise at 73mph and forget it....easy way to get 25mpg.

The Acura puts more of its money into the interior....the G35 puts it in the engine/AWD system. It is hard to have it all with the price point these cars compete with. Seems they either have a great powertrain and an ok interior/content quality, or are underpowered FWD with great interiors.

The TSX and the Jetta will get smoked by a G35. I'll take the performace of the G35 over an interior upgrade anyday. The base price of the IS350 is 36K...the G35 is 31K. The IS350 is nice, but 5K more is a significant amount of money. Besides, you can't even turn off "big brother" in the IS. If you want a luxury car that has plenty of power and don't mind the computer intruding during spirited driving the IS350 is a great ride. Personally, I like the ability to wag the tail if I so desire.

+1 and with its shared heritage w/Z, this car has even more powertrain potential.

...and the Mark Levinson on the RX330 can only be heard to appreciate - for you'll never wnat to leave the vehilce. It's that good...

...one of the big ones over the the IS350 for me is still exterior styling, just can't get enough of my coupe. As for the rattles- only had a few over really hard bumps to begin with, won't have any after I deaden- with the added bonus of killing the Bose and installing a system the will make a Levinson system sound like- well a factory installed system...

I think a good Infinity Basslink will help you guys achieve the lows you need. Definately could use more kick of bass all around.

Did they change upgrade the Bose System from year '03 to '04?? Because I have a loaner G35X from the Infiniti Dealership and it sounds louder than my '03 G35.

I'll give you that, for the coupe is much better looking than then the G35 sedan and the IS350, but unfortunately a 2-door is not in the cards for me right now. Yes you can install a system that is beter than any factory system available, but that's what cars in this price range are suppose to provide out of the box.

Understood that everyone's needs are different. But I've come to the conclusion that in reality, this car only works if you buy it bare-bones, take the extra $$$ and purchase upgrades for all the defencies. That way your back up to $40K and have a-lot better car. Unfortunately for me, I always lease vehicles so this makes no sence.

+1 on this one. I think it's all about the price. To keep the G around $35-$40K and still have the engine we all crave, they had to cut corners on the interior. Others have opted to invest the money into the interior and leave a mediocre engine - example, the RX330 that someone mentioned. I drove an 05 RX, and I must say that I'd die if I had to drive that everyday - who cares about the interior when it drives like that...then again, that's me, and it's still a very nice SUV. At least, this leaves some choices for the consumer and lets them decide what's more important. If you want the best interior and great engine....look to spend quite a bit more to get the best of both worlds.
