Thumbs down Stillen Does not provide Technical support unless purchased from them direct

I was shocked to find out today, that Stillen would not provide any technical support for "Stillen" parts that was purchased from Inifiniti of Scottsdale (www.g35parts.com). The parts were "Stillen Sway bars" for the G35. I had an easy question, but they simply said since I had not purchased the parts directly from them, they cannot provide any technical advice on the parts.

It's shocking for me to know that a company would not stand behind their product unless you bought it from them direct. If that' the case why do they even let other merchant's carry it.

Has anyone faced this situation?

My word of advice regarding Stillen: they might have a good product line up, but unless you buy from them direct, don't seek any help from them. I think that is a poor business principle on Stillen's behalf. Certainly would make me think twice before I get any of their parts again (if ever).

I agree that is Bull$hit. I have never heard of a manufacture not supporting their product. You would think they would want you to talk directly to them so someone else, "on their behalf" doesnt give bad info.

Stillen has many ridiculous sales policies. They once cancelled a group buy that was setup on driver through one of their vendors. I don't know what it is, but I don't think that they are in the business of making money...

stillen's business practice does stink....... i had to call stillen 8 times for them to call me back in regards to me buying the supercharger.... wtf? i call leave msg, and the dude never calls me back..... in addition to that , i was quoted a price and when i was going to sign the paperwork to put in my sc at stillen, they hiked it up another $500 and said, oh.... we'll give you $500 credit instead.... wtf again! if i wanted to buy something from you, i'll buy it, not for you to hike it up $500 then give me $500 in credit..... i personally hate the people of stillen, but i love there product..... sucks no matter how you spin it ! and the group buy that stillen cancelled was the sway bars, only premiere members were able to buy.... and i think it was like $20 off msrp.....

Yeah Im not too impressed either, Thier installation manuals stink, and Id love to meet the genius engineer that drew up the plans for their CAI box.. placing that bolt at the bottom vs the simple factory holder plugs... brilliant, 500 cuss words and a bloody hand later.... Morons. On a good note, Borla seems to know what thier doing... wonderful install, and sounds great!

Yeah I ordered from everythingg35.com...pretty good price, sounds great and fits as well... just watch where the right pipe goes over the rear sway bar, I had a little rubby rubby i had to adjust out... Its the only close spot. I had my old exhuast off and the new one on in less than an hour.

Doesn't seem like they have a Borla for the X?? Why would a front differential cause a catback exhaust to be different?

Edit: Borla's site shows that it's sedan exhaust works for the X. It's just everythingG35's site doesn't. I'll have to call them.

I have dealt w/ Stillen MANY times over the phone. They never made me wait and never hesitated to answer all of my questions on potential orders and for parts I already installed (purchased at Miller Infinity). Maybe if you are in So Cal you can call Gene at Miller Infinity and he should be able to answer your questions.
