Re: Squeaky brakes...

Just passed the 2000km mark, and noticed the brakes squeak every now and again at very low speeds in forward and reverse.

Anyone else experience this nuisance?

Re: Squeaky brakes...

It could just be a buildup of dust on the rotors. Try braking hard a couple of times from about 30mph (err... or 50kph). Then see if the squealing at low speeds goes away.

Re: Squeaky brakes...

Just spoke to my service dept. They think it is a buildup of brake dust causing the minor squeals and squeaks. They recommended to use a garden hose and give the brakes a good spraying.

Seems odd I would have an excessive buildup of brake dust because I clean the wheels quite diligently with Eagle One's A2Z wheel cleaner.

Anyhow, will give it a try. Will have to wait until the Greater Vancouver water restriction is over, or use a self-serve car wash. ;-)
