A new one of the same model would have been about $33k.

Actually this car appears to not been a rental long, only about 2-3 months. I would suggest checking how oil consumption is, since it may have been driving hard during it's breakin period.
Maybe not as hard as the loaners for some people.
The one time I bought a rental car, it had 20K miles when I purchased it. I DID have some engine problems 4 years later, but there was a known problem with the engine in that car (not an Infiniti).

Enterprise rents Gs out for $80-85 bucks a day + tax and fees that could push it to 90 bucks a day or more--so hopefully a mature person would have driven it.
I would NEVER buy a car from ebay--sight unseen. I would always go in person--do my inspection--finger on the seam (or edge) of a body panel..ie hood or door edge----should be smooth--a rough edge would indicate paint work. Paint work may be a minor repair or a MAJOR one. Drive it--check for hesitation, get under the car, check the engine bay, check for dings, run the vin for a carfax, get service records from infiniti, and then have it inspected by a professional and then decide to purchase. Oh, plus verify that it was a nonsmoker by smell and visual inspection. That is just me.

IMO, the emblem issue means the bumper (at least) has been repainted. I had my bumper refinished a few months back and they had to remove the emblems and then put new ones on. I'd check to make sure the paint matches. Ideally you need to do this on a clear sunny day or under flourescent lighting. Keep in mind that most painted bumpers (OEM) don't match perfectly when coming straight off the factory line. Silver, gray, and colors like yours typically won't match perfectly.
Look under the rear bumper and behind it for obvious frame and sheet metal bending or damage. Look for fresh undercoating. Look for waviness in the metal. Take a refrigerator magnet and place it all over the exterior sheet metal of the car. If the magnet doesn't stick to the metal, then there's body filler there (ie wrecked). The magnet will not stick to the hood though because its aluminum.

Your (hopefully) lucky that there are used ones available.
When I was looking, I was hoping for a decently priced used car. Unfortunately, the G35 had only been out for just over a year, and the used market was pretty small, especially configured how I wanted it, with Navi, etc.
The closest dealership had one, finally, with Navi. But they were asking too much for it. I ended up buying a new one a little further away for only $4K more than the first dealership was asking.
Of course, I probably could have tried to negotiate. I just dither too long on large purchases, and I didn't really want the granite leather, and the color was only my 3rd or 4th favorite.
