i was comming out of a bar in woodbridge nj and there were a bunch of kids standing around a 2003 evo. i heard much about the evo so i wasnt sure if i would have a good chance. so this kids asks me if id like to take a run on industrial ave near the bar. he said no cops are ever there and that they always have races over there. so i took him up on the offer. whn we got there he was talkin a bunch of junk sayin how uch work he got done with his hood all open. i wanted to back out until a friend f mine said id be able to take him off the line. so i said "aigh lets do this". some dude counts to 3 and we take off. i use the tip tronic mode. when i shift to 2nd gear at 3800 rpm i start to blow this kid away so i wen from next to nxt and i beat him by atleast a car length. the kid drivin the evo says to me "im still kinda buzzed i missed a gear" so i gave him a snd run and he wanted to race for $50 so he hd me at take off this time and all the sudden all this power boosted from behind my weel and i passed him at 105 mph. and won! woohoo!! i got my $50 an headed straight to a diner and got my friend and i some good old "sunny side up egg with homefries" with this wise guys money. lol it was a site to see.

of course they do. Some people have put fx45 20s on the G. I wouldnt get the Infiniti 18s b.c they tend to scratch easily are quite heavy and besides an aftermarket rim is more unique. And the evo is way faster then the G.

 

if i was to put 19" would i have to drop it or would it look dumb? the evo might be faster than the g but this evo didnt beat my sedan

 

I love my g but there is no way we can beat evo's...especially with mods. I'm in the chicago area and saw few evo's run at the track. I saw a few modded evo's running low 12's to mid 12's. And I saw a guy who never owned a stickshift car do high 13's to 14.0 flat bone stock. By the way, I did 14.7 at the track. The guy you raced really didn't know what he was doing. Anyways...I was planning on getting rid of my auto sedan for evo...but got the 6mt sedan instead. I didn't get the evo because most of the evo drivers are cocky just like some coupe drivers. (no punt intended) I'm just waiting for someone to work on a turbo kit for my g...then, it will be a different story.

psycho, you're smoking something or the Evo driver is and doesn't know how to drive, stick or not! the Evo is a monster with turbo's, 4WD and intercooler. Off the line it might drag but if the driver drops to first with the engine up there a bit, the turbo's kick that car off the line like a rocket and swing it out in front of most cars made! Somewhere I sense a hole in your story but that's just me. I haven't raced an Evo yet but I know silverG35 know's what he's talking about! Was it an Evo VIII or VII?

Better check the 0-60 web site again for the numbers. Stock Evo's do it in 4.4 for the FQ and 4.8 for the RSII. That would smoke a G, even a coupe!

Silver- Power Enterprises, Top Secret, and GReddy all have turbo kits coming out...GReddy is the only one releasing dyno results at the moment...Be patient- I've been waiting for months now and it's slowing down my project...You could always go Turbonetics and get a custom system built, but even I don't want to go that route...

Oh, and stock G35s aren't smoking EVOs...I love it when people post magazine results like it's fact...And why are you taking a G35 to some illegal industrial area to drag some kid in an EVO?? I used to do that crap when I had an Integra- the G doesn't belong in "The Fast and the Furious"- it actually exudes a touch of class...

I am 21 and no i dont own a g35, my father does and i am not embarresed to say. a 51K CDN car is not something my age would have unless you just won the lottery.

Step away from the crack pipe please. The only way you could ever beat the EVO is to drop both cars from 600 ft in the air (with half a second head start). Don't go posting BS on a board full of educated people. Please don't resort to magazine racing either. Put out real numbers and post real pics if you want to gain attention.
