Re: Aero Body vs. Non

I like the nismo body kit on mine just for the fact that hardly anyone has one. I have yet to see another on the road with one. I have only seen others here on the list with them. The only part I don't care for is the rear valance. It looks like an add on. I will they would have created a different rear bumper that integrates the lip.

Shodog, I've heard you refer to your body kit as the "nismo kit" several times. Where did you get it? I ask because the aero kit sold by Infiniti is obviously not the same thing as an aftermarket kit with the Nismo name on it.

I can't remember what site I pulled this picture from but it is a pic of the Nismo v35

Re: Aero Body vs. Non

Infiniti Aero kit is the JDM equivalent of the Nismo kit. Nismo being the Nissan performance division. Both are direct from the factory.

Re: Aero Body vs. Non

so the nismo aero and the factory aero are the same then? dont know why, but that pic with the nismo bumper looks a bit sweeter. could just be the lighting and the nismo plate.

Re: Aero Body vs. Non

Yup that is correct. And you're right the pic does look a little sweeter, because the Nismo V35 is lowered (compared to the G35) and that makes all the difference.

Re: Aero Body vs. Non

"Here's a good side view for you. I might be biased, but I think the body kit makes it much better looking. And yes I do realize mine is lowered and has aftermarket wheels, but I still think it's good for comparing. Also keep in mind that the top photo is a professional shot from the Infiniti site."

This is a perfect example of what I have mentioned in other threads on this subject. The bodykit makes for a big nose, thick waist and huge butt. I so much prefer the stock black lowers due to the slimming effect they have on the sedan from all angles. To my eyes, the spoiler exacerbates the big butt syndrome.

The one effect I do like from the bodykits is the appearance of "lowering" the car on the wheels. As always, to each his own...,,,"variety is the spice of life" and all that kinda stuff. : )

It's all good, opinions and tastes vary and that's why different options are available. : )
