Question Laser Jammer/Detector. Need help

I am one of those guys who is a cop magnet. Having about 12 speeding tickets so far. I cannot afford anymore lawyer fees. What are the best laser & radar jammer/detectors to get? Thanks for your help.

You know its a matter of time, here it is

Dont speed.

You cant jam lazzzzzzzzzer, and by the time a detector goes off, we've confirmed your speed.
Radar jammers are illegal, federal crime, and we know when you're using it.

We've always got the one-up on detectors, you cant win.
Sure, it'll save you some times, I had one before I knew any better too. But its not worth it. I know we issue almost no tickets (lots of written warnings, last month 4% of our traffic stops resulted in $fine tickets for speed. I bet at least half are because we saw a detector, the other half ran their mouth. You cant try to get around a cop doing his job and expect him to be kind when he catches you.

And 12 tickets? What state still lets you drive? May I suggest a Yugo? Haha... I spent one night in jail due to my driving a while ago. Havent been pulled over since. Thats what it took for me...

If you insist on a detector, dont bother with those built in covert ones. The research ive done on them show that they are horible. 1/2 as good for 2x the price. Passport were good, and the V1. But all those tests failed to mention the time comparison between an officer getting your speed, and the detector going off. They'll brag their detector sounded an alarm at 1/2 mile, but was your speed confirmed then? Thats a very achievable distance with laser. If you insist on knowing when a cop has you busted before he pulls you over, go for the detector

^i dont know what hes talking about radar detectors...

everytime a cop has a radar on my passport x50 gets it...saved me MULTIPLE times...

however i think he is right about the jammer..it seems kinda obvious and stupid to get a jammer...just get a detector..by the way i live in los angeles...and believe me we have the worst fvcking cops around and i have cops come next to me all the time and they see my detector...i havent gotten any trouble yet for it..in fact..in 2 years before i had the g i had 4 tickets...its been nine months and not one ticket in the g...and i had wayy slower cars than the g too..just get an escort x50 and youll be okay...just dont drive THAT stupid to warrant 12 tickets..

I'll throw in my 2 cents here as well. Radar jammers are illegal, that is true. Also, police seem to be leaning towards laser radar vs. standard radar for health reasons associated with radar. That being said, a detector that can detect both standard radar and laser radar is essential. If your detector does not have laser detection, throw it away IMO. However, if your laser detector goes off, you have a 50/50 shot of getting a ticket, depending on how fast you were going. They are fairly accurate. I would suggest getting a laser detector/DIFFUSER. These are NOT jammers. What they do is that when they detect a laser radar signal, they warn you first, then diffuse(fancy word for confuse) the laser radar gun. The gun will not display an exact speed and gives you time to react. I have sold these for a long time now and never had a complaint. The ones I sell are the K40 Laser Diffusers. These mount on the front of the car and need a clear view of the road ahead. They can't be located behind a grill or any other obstruction. Take a look at this: http://www.k40.com/othe_defu.html . Also, slowing down is another option.

I would think the laser difusers are the way to go. Since LE in my town seem to only use laser now I was considering it. It's not illegal since laser isnt controlled by the FCC, this has been hashed and rehashed here numerous times. The 2 reasons I havent bought one is that 1) I dont run a front license plate and 2) Traffic is so cornholed here, I dont seem to need it. I guess all in all I'd just like to have a leg up on the cops. Yea, I know it's not possible but it sounds nice...

I forgot to add that you don't need to use the included license plate frame with the K40 Diffuser. It does come off the frame to maount it more discretely. 9 times out of 10, I do not use the frame.

There are no radar detectors out there that are capable of detecting the laser in time (i.e. Beltronics RX65, Escort x50, Valentine 1 though Valentine one has shown to pick it up sooner than the rest). Once you've been hit with laser and your radar detects it, its already too later and be prepared to pull over. What you can do is use a laser jammer using Blinder 20 or 40. Here is a forum that lists current radar bands http://www.radardetector.net/viewtop...t=pennsylvania

This other link http://www.jasonsvideoproductions.com is videos from a guy who tests his jammer against the laser and its freakin funny to watch! Check it out.

You need to use the search button.

Here's my review: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/65590-escort-zr3-8500-x50-install-review.html

Most of the other posters have no idea what they're talking about. It's very simple:

You need a radar detector so you can detect the police using radar on cars around you so you know they are in the area and can take action.

You need a laser jammer because laser warning systems do not give enough warning to take action, while laser jammers do confuse the LEO's laser gun so you can take action.

I have been using a passport 850x50 with the blinder 20. As long as there a cars that get hit with the instant on Ka band or the cop is lazy and leaves the radar on the passport works fine for radar. The blinder 20 has saved me at least 4 times from lasers. twice at over 80 in a 55 zone!! and they are both legal in NY. The only state in the east they are illegal is Virginia

I have the K-40 with laser defuser/jammer. The dealer installed prior to me picking up the car. While it was very expensive, it was well worth it. The hid the detectors very well (cannot see them) with the laser defuser installed inside my front grille. I was concerned about allowing the laser defuser to be readily visible. While the defuser has an unobstructed view of the road, you cannot see it without squatting down and peering through the grille. The only thing you can see of the system is a small blue led below my dash display. I was unsure of how I would like it compared to my older Escort (six years old). It has a great detection range for the standard bands. I have yet to drive through a laser speed trap and I still have some doubts about the value of the laser defuser.

12 tickets? Can you even get insurance at this point? I suggest slowing down a little before investing in gadgets that are no gaurantee. Cops can still pace you or just tell you are speeding if you are way over. If you are going 20 over or more then you are just asking for tickets.

I have the Escort SR7 remote radar and ZR3 laser shifter system in my Subaru WRX. It works great as I have not had a single ticket yet the past year and a half.
