depends on the offset. You will need +35 minimum, I think. Anyone?

+40 rear is not enough. Ideal offsets would be +43 --> +45 for the rear.

Is that b/c it is an X? (my bad)

b/c 35+ front and 40+ rear is ideal for RWD sedan.

The X should not run stagger in the first place (I posted this in the other thread seddon made); it will affect the traction control system and his AWD system.

If the car was in fact RWD, +40 for a 9.5" wheel will fit, but it will also require fender rolling and/or running some negative camber to avoid rubbing if he lowers his car. He is much safer getting +43 --> +45...

this conflicts with what many have said to me on RWD that 19 X 9.5 +40 with a 275 tire will fit perfect with NO fender rolling and can be lowered 1 inch with no rubbing problems.

You can see PDT and G35keg here https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...47#post1032147

PDT has that exact set up 9.5 +40 275 1" drop and no rub and no rolled lip
G35keg has 9.5 34+ 255 narrower tire and 1.1" tire, no rub and no roll
thats 2 of many examples on this board and 2 wheel shops that have concurred.

Not true +35 is a common size here on the board not to mention I am running +35 no rubbing and they don't stick out to far it's even with the fenders even if you lower you won't have a problem. I have eibachs.

codeflux, get your facts straight and stop misleading and confusing people with wrong fitment info.

vodka was referring to a +40 offset on a 9.5" rim. He's asking about an 8.5" rim with a +35 offset.

a 9.5" wheel on a 275 series tire in the rear will look like a race car you can do it but it just wouldn't look right. I hope we cleared up the whole 8.5 inch wheel with a +35 offset
