I didn't mind mine at first either.
The seat controls look nice. The look definitely places the interior into sleek stylish category. However I do not like the way they feel on my leg. The seat controls haven't given me the dead leg like some of the others. But my thigh certainly knows it is there. I do like the look the seat controls exhibit. But for comfort I would rather they not be there(more padding). Contradicting myself it seems. So seat controls have to go.
