This A.M. I was heading into the city to get my windows tinted. I live out in the country and a guy in a red neon turned in front of me and proceeded to fly down the road. I caught up with him at a stop sign and he turned so I tried to see if I could keep up. I let off once I hit the speed limit and was impressed how quick his car was. He the merged onto the highway on ramp and left me in the dust since I really wasn't interested in pushing my non-sport suspension and losing control. I finally was able to pull up beside him and give him a thumbs up. He later exited and I jumped on the following exit for my morning trip to Starbucks. I pull in the lot and guess what I see...a red Neon. I was ordering my coffee when he strolled in and we started to talk about our cars. He said he liked the G35, but was too young to afford one. In fact, he was selling the neon because it was putting him in debt. Anyone know what the HiPo Neon will run? It seemed really quick and I wonder if it would outrun an 2005 AT G35 on the strip.

 

If it was the little turbo model, yes it will smoke a G.

 

Yep, he mentioned it was a turbo. I guess next time I see one at a stoplight I'll make sure not to tempt fate......

 

I had a SRT-4 and modified it. The G's will get burnt from a roll. But the SRT has a huge problem with getting off the line. Major wheel hop without aftermarket motor mounts.

If you can launch (or if you have an X), you will take this car in the short run..........
