appears that I am a little late to reply to this thread but thought I would throw out my input..
I installed my Sportster replay by running the antenna on the roof as well and down the rear glass. through the trunk up the side molding of the roof liner (Above the windows)...ends at the rearview mirror. wires are tucked under the rear view mirror wire cover and then go into the sunglass holder.
the sportster unit is installed in the sunglass holder compartment w/ Velcro.

the install is hidden and no wires hanging which I like.. since i already installed a Garmin Street pilot in the Dash kit where the stock nav would normally go (above the climate controls (Perfect FIT)

My biggest deterent is the sound quality from the FM Tuner in the Aftermarket Sportster......
I would also like to hardwire utilizing the RCA Jacks however I already used the satelite connection cable to run the Ipod Connection kit.

Any thoughts from anyone on how to get both Ipod and hardwire an aftermarket satelite reciever?
