I might be mixing this up with another car's warranty but is there a 1 yr period only for adjustment items for Infiniti. If so are rattles considered adjustment items.

Correct, and creaks, groans, rattles, etc. are taken care of for free by the dealer within the first year. Technically after that the dealer could charge you for troubleshooting and fixing them, although many do not if you're having other service done.

This may not apply to TSBs... if there is a TSB about your problem you have a stronger case after the first year for the free fix.

Luck!

Rattles should be covered by warranty...unless the car is meant to rattle then its under spec

If I remember right, Infiniti's new Quality Control Program extends the "rattle and noise" warrentee to 36K or 12 months. That was with my 2005.

yep - they recently told me the same thing "adjustment period is 12 months"... But Tustin Infiniti agreed to address some rattle issues for me even after 12 months as a customer service gesture... if you have a good dealer service dept they should work with you about "flaws" even after 12 months
