GTR or Full Smoke?

GTR or Full Smoke for the 05 G35 Sedan?

Which looks better? Everyone on the board seems to agree that the GTRs looks better, but many of my friends think the cutouts will look weird.
At night time, with the LEDs shinning, the full overlays look nice! I never seen the GTR in person.

there are some people on car domain with the full smoke...I can find them if you want.

I am going to get the overlays and than debadge the car.

well then let me reiterate, GTR in 6/10 will look extra hott, full smoke would look good too (it just looks plain IMO though)

Depending on how dark, you might have some legal issues with the full overlays.

yeah so when a cop pulls you over or you get sick of the look you cant take it off right? That's the whole point of overlays, you can put em on and if you want to change the style you can take em right off and be stock again.

Neal,
if you dont like the reverse cutouts and still want the GTR style just let Bat know when you order them that you want the full smoke reverse overlays and the GTR tails. problem solved

its not hard to take off spray tint. and the cops arent strict out here in LI over that plus the LED tails are bright enough to not even have the cops bother

yea, I am not to concerned about legality. I was comparing the GTR overlays to the full smoke....and the full smoke was looking kind of plain. Now when the car is on, the difference is irrelivent (since the leds go right through). When the car is off...the full smoke just looks boring.

Full Smoke

Full Smoke looks cleaner. For me, clean is good.

I also agree... the GTR looks WAY better. HOWEVER, they are a royal pain the @ss to install. I have little experience putting that vinyl stuff on, I followed the directions to a T, but I couldn't avoid the little ripples and crinkles. I hosed it up completely. So, I went to staples, bought some contact paper, cut out the same holes for the taillights like the GTR kit, stuck the paper on the taillight, and spray tinted it. Looks 25x better then when i tried to use the overlay, but looks exactly like it.

That's just my 2 cents... you may be better at putting the vinyl on than me, it doesn't take much apparently hehe
