Installed REVISED OEM Z Springs on my 05' X !
Got the REVISED OEM Z Springs on my 05' G35x installed monday. Shop said install was clean, with no issues. (WILL POST PICS SOON!!)
Its been a couple of days (still have to get an alignment once springs settle) so here are my initial impressions:
1.) Car drop looks perfect. back wheels have about a 2 finger gap and front have about a 3 finger gap. I am also running bigger diameter 245/45/18's. With this set up car looks sick .. basically the way it should!!
2.) Ride Quality is basically the same thus far, maybe slightly stiffer. Bumps, Road noise etc. basically feels the same .. however, cornering def. feels better in my limited testing so far. I will really test the handling this weekend and let you guys know.
** Side note: I am in the process of sending my stock G35x springs to Gsedan35 so he can test the spring rates. This way us X owners will have a better idea of spring options.

Great stuff !!! Can't wait to see pics !
Sounds great- Next step will be to figure out which shocks/dampers work best with the G-Koni? Tockico?
If you can , please let us know about your alignment as well. I'd like to know how far off you are from stock with respect camber/caster-
I'm guessing there will be some tire wear on the inside edge, I guess I just want to know how much wear

Yo bro you gotta post those pics soon I also have an 05 X and want to drop it. Do you know how much in inches the drop was? I have 245/35/20 and if you have a three finger gap it should work for me too.

This is awesome news! I can't wait to see the pictures. I am running 245/40 18s and would love to drop the car as long as it doesn't bounce around like a pogo stick.
I had another thought. Can anyone compare an X front shock to a RWD front shock? The only difference I can see looking at pictures is that the X lower mount looks like it sits in a cup or clamp. While the RWD front shock has an extension with a shock mount on the bottom. My idea was if us X owners could simply cut off the lower RWD mount with a "smoke wrench" and this would allow the RWD shock to mount in an X. Any input here? Looks like overall shock diameters are the same. It is just the lower mounting method. I would love to slap a set of modified D-Specs on my X with the 350Z springs!
