Power Window Issues
Power Window Issues
Has anybody been having issues with the power windows? Everyday when I walk to my car afterwork, I press the unlock button so the front windows will roll down. Sometimes only the passenger side will roll down and not the driverside. No big deal, I just figured the connection between the remote and car was lost. Normally I'd get into the car and just roll down the driver side. However yesterday, only the passenger side came down and when I got in da g, the driver's side window whould not go down, all I would hear is this "click" sound. It was like that all day yeasterday (stoped the car and restarted and such, it never got the window working) This morning, I tried again and the window was working....has anyone seen a TSB for this or has had a similar problem?

If you have the window/door power butons blocked from use
by the other passengers via the X button, only the drivers
side will go down. I noticed this also. Just allow all
passengers permission to use windows and the auto window
down feature works for both front windows.

Re: Power Window Issues
There's a TSB for the regulator in the driver's side window, but I'm not sure if this is the cause of your problem. As long as a) the windows are unlocked, b) you're within a decent range when you "remote roll down", and c) you've not had an accident concerning the driver's side door... then you should just take it in to Infiniti. They'll set up an appointment for you, and you get to drive a loaner for a while

Re: Power Window Issues
That's interesting, wonder if they changed that (remote open disabled via X button) in the 2003.5 model. Mine works either way.
Remember that you need to hold the unlock button down for 3 full seconds before they start to operate. I had previously thought mine was broken as it would rarely work and if it did often just a bit. The solution for me was to just be more patient!!! I was reminded of this when I broke out the manual and realized the 3 second rule.

Sorry, I got so worked up about my problem and solving it that I forgot your problem was different - only one side works. Anywho....
