If you're really concerned about speed and not looks get some 18's
EDIT; Get 18's with wide widths and real good quality rubber.
Especially since you're on a budget, and you value performance over looks...I think 18's are a better option for you.

+1 on that, 18" gram lights and some really good rubber you'll be just fine. Besides those wheels you were looking at, I would venture and guess with tires they would each weigh easily between 45-50 lbs.
so if you are looking for performance, you will have many more choies in 18 and quite easy on the wallet.

So wat type of 18's would i be looking at? Idealy i want a black finish, and probably rims that are lighter then my oem 17's. Also waht offsets would be the best and how big would i be able to go, 18x10? Thanks guys apperciate your input

If it were me I'd go with some 18x18.5 and 18x9.5 with the offsets above....I believe Volk makes some pretty cheap wheels in 18 inch size.
