The shuddering in my opinion could only be caused by interuppted fuel supply. Since they just did the fuel hose recall, I'm supposing that the problem lies with a plugged fuel filter/line or failing/plugged fuel pump.

The coincidence of a failed alternator seems a little suspicious and somewhat unbelievable.

Well, I just got off the phone with my service consultant and he says they still don't know the problem.

But the more I think about it the more I am coming to the conclusion it has something to do with the fuel hose recall.

I've had a lot of little problems with my G, but never anything with the engine. I know the VQ is a pretty damn good engine as well, so I was in shock when the engine did what it did.

It's all good, taking the Murano back in tomorrow and pickin up a G.

They probably forgot to hook up the new fuel hose.

I gave the Murano back in the morning and scooped up a G Sedan...much better.

The service consultant, a great guy, was kind of being shady and wouldn't tell me what the problem is. He was acting as if they didn't know yet, which I find hard to believe.

I guess they really did screw something up while peforming the recall on the fuel hose.

What dealership is your car at? They seem pretty shady.

if i was a service manager i would be able to tell a forum user in about 5 minutes and i would give them especially good service, it baffles me that Infiniti isn't more on top of our discussion here, they should be reading this and contacting that svc dept immediately

Honestly,

I'm not really complaining...my service consultant is awesome. And believe me I appreciate him a lot after dealing with 2 other douche bags service consultants I used to deal with.

Maybe Monday I'll find out what is wrong with the car exactly?

Ummm, we'll I hate SUV's. But it was pretty smooth and agile for one. Pretty spacious too...not bad at all.

I believe it's also got the 3.5 v6, power was decent, but nothing crazy. I guess they weigh a lot more than the G's.

OK, so now it's May 5th..

My service consultant said they are taking apart the engine and they still don't know the problem. Said they should know more on Monday, lol. Wow, WTF is wrong with my car?

I'm starting to treat the loaner they gave me like my own car now. I gave it a nice detail on the inside yesterday. I'm tempted to tint out the windows and throw an intake in there.
