Finally spoke with the service manager today who was very nice. He told me that "corporate" does not give him any leaway with brakes after 12k on the 05s.

So I will pay for pads $58 and the dealer will cover the install and turning the rotors.

I am not thrilled with this, but $58 is way better than $335.

This car will be gone before it needs brakes again.
