Wind and noise from sunroof

Today is my complaint day and even though i love this car nothing is perfect. However, I think the wind and noise from sunroof when open is more than it should be. My guess is they didn't take opening the sunroof into account (and maybe shouldn't have) when creating lines and wind effeciency's coefficient, etc. when building car. But I have owned two sports coupe/sedans previously: 97 328i and 93 honda
prelude and i could drive those at 100 mph with almost no wind or noise coming into cabin. what's up???

Re: Wind and noise from sunroof

Val, mine's pretty quiet, up through the 90 MPH range which is about as fast as I ever drive around town. I do notice that it is a little bit noiser than even my old G-20. Is your problem when you have the roof part way open, tilted or all the way open? The noise is louder when the roof is part way open and appears to be quieter when it's open all the way. Tilted is another story: I have found that it helps to keep the fan on to generate a little back pressure in the cabin to keep air flowing out of the tilted up roof. No science or dB meters at work here, just some observations.

G35/S/MT....this car rocks!

Like Kfreefall said it's quieter if it's all the way open. My SHO sounds about the same. My old eclipse was the worse for sound. Have you tried a wind deflector? the one on my mother in laws Maxima made a big difference

I think it is louder, compared to our Maxima(it had a deflector on it though).
Anyone know if the deflector is made for the G?
