HELP: CRacked Driver Side Headlight!

Hi folks,

I haven't been here in a while...been enjoying my G way too much

But sadly, a few weeks ago, a rock hit my driver's side headlight putting a huge hole in the clear plastic cover. while I was on the highway!

The light is a halogen (pretty sure) and my car is a 2004 Sedan MT.

I called my local dealer and they wanted $750 CDN just for the part not including labour to replace!!!

Couple of quesiton if I may:

1. Anyone know where I can purchase a new/used one on the internet?

2. Is it difficult to replace this by myself? Seems to be only a few bolts and screws...

3. And somewehat related... is there an easy way to take a small indend (about 6" in diamter) ouf ot he rear pasenger side rubber bumper part?

Thanks Guys. Looking forward to your advice!

Later

Garry

Note: I posted this bty accident in the 2007 thread (DOH!)

You might want to post in the WANTED section of the MARKETPLACE. I found a member in the EXTERIOR section selling his original '05 headlights, complete housings and bulbs, for $350 SHIPPED for the pair . I've been wanting to black-out my housings.

There are a lot of guys wanting to upgrade to '06 headlights, so come up with an offer, post it, and maybe your offer will be enough to encourage someone to make that change right now.

SORRY, this was for a coupe.

Thanks for the tip. I've posted in the Assessories section

Any ideas on the other two questions?

Thanks!

That seems reasonable.

Anyone with any experience with this retailer? Is there a good sellers list here?

Thanks in advance...

Call your insurance company. They will replace it for free without any money out of your pocket. It is a security issue, like the windshield, they will replace it for free, and your insurance rates will not be affected.
