Questions about G35x with dual exhaust?

I have a 2006 G35x, IP with the factory chrome rims, clear corners, oem spoiler and clear bra. There is a shop in town that does custom exaust work. I was wondering if anyone had a G35x with two mufflers in the back that had two pipes coming out per mufler (so four exhaust tips total). (pics?)

Also, is Magnaflow or Flowmaster any good? Those are two of the brands that I saw advertised on their shop but im sure they do more. They have a very clean shop and the guy who does the work seems very enthusiastic about his work.

I love the stock sound but I think it could be nice to make it a little louder with dual exaust. I know the pipes come from the manifold to the back and meet and then both go into the stock exaust. Would a custom shop just redo the pipes from where they meet to the back or would they have to redo the whole system?

Thanks for any help. Ill get some pictures of my car real soon.

1. has been discussed.

2. not possible to do - there is simply no room for the second muffler.

catback

One guy did it a year ago. Don't konw here I've seen it.

The second muffer is on the right & he has to relocate the fuel tanks I think.

Didn't look all that good.

4 tail pipes is too much.

I'm a fan of dual exhaust on cars, but I've seen a member on here with a dual exhaust setup on his G (RWD) and I honestly didn't like the look. You could always photoshop that setup on your car if you wanted to.

Just go with Stillen, like said above. I just don't think the G looks good w/ a dual port exhaust. Plus, I don't think a product like Flowmaster is G material....as your Japanese luxury sedan would sound like a Mustang 5.0. Check out the HKS rear section exhaust too...I absolutely LOVE mine.

Ahhh. wishful thinking. If only we could make our G's sound like that.......To be honest, the G, even with the most aggressive exhaust, just doesn't have the displacement to sound really good, IMO. Can only get so much sound out of a 3.5.

You can get alot of sound out of the VQ. I can get some video proof for you if you want.

the VQ 3.5 liter is one of the larger V6's in the market. It sounds pretty mean with a high flow exhaust system. It rumbles big time if you get the right setup. It will never sound like a civic, and it will never sound like a 5.0 mustang, its somewhere in between.

Yea, I didn't mean to say that is can't sound good at all. For it's displacement, it sounds nice. I just really think the exhaust notes of higher displacement motors are so much nicer. I like a note that says, "how big do you think that V8 is?"
