Stillen Exhaust Question

Hi I just bought a used Stillen gen 2 exhaust.
I was wondering does it use existing gaskets and mounting harware(nuts and bolts) or did the place who took off the other guys exhaust forget to give it to him?
Stillen is not open yet and I have heard that they are a$$holes about helping guys who buy parts used or from other venders. So I am asking you guys.

It does use the factory gaskets and bolts/nuts at the cat connection (the cats have the bolts attached to them), however, for all connections behind that (i.e. the resonators and muffler section) Stillen would have provided new hardware and 2 gaskets.

The hardware that came with the system should include:
- 2 U clamps for the connection between the x-pipe and resonators
- 4 bolt/nut sets for the resonator/muffler section connection
- 2 gaskets for the resonator/muffler section.

I think that was all that came with mine if I remember correctly.

No problem, anytime!

As far as how I liked mine that is another story. I absolutely loved it but I had to take it off because I had some fitment issues that seem to be unique to me. Now it is just sitting in my attic collecting dust. You can read about it here if you really want to.

I am sure you will love yours, no one else has had the problems I had (at least that I am aware of). Let me know how you like it once you have it installed.

I have also recently installed mine Gen 2. I added the flex joins right after the cats. And I am not experiencing any vibration issues. I do like the sound and power but I find it a little bit to intrusive at WOT. Hopefully it will mellow out after a few weeks of use.

Yeah, I have considered taking mine to an exhaust shop and having the flex sections added to see if that will help my fitment issues. Where did you buy the flex sections?

I may have some down time in the next few months where I can play around with it some more.

I purchased mine from Vibrant Exhaust. http://www.vibrantpower.com/

Donovan Griffith is my sales contact in Mississauga, Ontario. Reasonable prices. Worked out well.

Donovan is with public relations for Vibrant. He's a great guy to deal with.

He has got Vibrant developing an exhaust for the G35 Sedan.
