Stillen Catback Installed

As reported in another thread, I installed my Stillen Gen II catback yesterday. Before I installed the exhaust, I dyno'ed my car. I have another dyno appointment next Saturday to dyno with the Stillen exhaust so that I/we can see exactly how much the exhaust will add. Below is the chart for my dyno runs yesterday. I will update this post next week with the "after Stillen catback" dyno. Should be interesting to see the results.

The exhaust is incredible and the sound alone makes it worth every penny! I will say that my butt dyno is very happy as well (next week will show just how accurate it is). Here are some pics of the installed exhaust:

Accelerating from Stop (or near Stop):

I tried to capture one just cruising but the camera I was using didn't get anything but road noise.

Let me know what you think.

I will check it out and try to get the sound clips up soon. I assume most people would want them recorded from inside the car while driving. That is how I am planning on recording them.

Everything I have seen suggests gains of ~8 whp. We will see next Saturday.

I'd love to hear how it sounds on the outside and definitely inside. Thanks.

hey jameyb, what did you do with your stock exhaust? it comes off in pieces right? one of the things holding me back on getting the stillen is that i don't know if i have space to store the stock exhaust (which i don't want to get rid of). could you take a picture of the OEM exhaust in pieces? if it's too much of a hassle don't worry about it.

thanks

JameyB congrats I have the gen2 exhaust as well and I love it. Next on my list is the MD spacer.

BTW, your sig needs a little editing.

Ha, Ha. I will fix that right now. I am about to go drive around and record some sound clips. I will have to wait on the drive-by clip until I can get someone to help (I can just see my wife rolling her eyes if I asked her ).

absolutg,

I already put my stock exhaust in my attic. I will climb up there and see how a picture will turn out.

you can just leave the camera on the lawn as you round a corner. Another member left his camera in a mailbox...but he spead by. I thought his intake + tires + Air Resistance overpowerd the exhaust note. Thats why I thought a normal driveby would be better

Be sure to compare SAE corrected hp's to calculate true gain --- unless all conditions are identical to previous run.
