I know this is hard to believe and I don't know where it came from but I was just driving next to a white 07 sedan on I-17 in north Phoenix. We were in stop-and-go traffic, he came up next to me for a few seconds and turned off at Deer Valley. It did not have a plate on the back.

They look better in person than the pictures.

I knew I would get in trouble for posting this and not folowing him!

I had my GF and daughter in the car and we were on our way to dinner. If I were alone I would have cut everyone off to follow him.

It looked good. I am still not sold on it but it does look better in person than the pics I have seen.


PS- this time of year it is not worth living in Phoenix. 8 months out of the year it is great and the other 4 suck.

 

Yes I did a tripple-take!!!! It was an 07'. I got a good look at the front end and the back did say "G35" above the dual exhaust tips .

I wish so much we had the Z,Coupe,Fx exhaust style.

 

how was someone able to get an 07 already?... You sure it wasn't just a modified exaust on an earlier year?

 

There is often pre release cars out for test purposes;

No it was an 07' It had the new headlights, sunk down hood, taillights, exhaust, no plate, stock exhaust tips (small), everything. I am 100% sure it was a new one.

I know there are a lot of companies that test their cars out here in the summer because of the heat. We saw new VW bugs 2+ years before they came out and lots of others. I would think all that testing had been done by now but maybe not. I will keep my camera in my car incase I see him again!

 

I believe you. It is very possible.

There have been many sightings of new model cars a couple of months before they come out. Ive seen many myself (not the 07 G, but other models)

Too bad you had your GF and daughter in the car... it would have been great if you had a chance to race him... then we'd have idea of the performance that is so up-in-the-air right now... That would have been a great post!

I see the upcoming years cars all the time. They usally drive in a pack and have funky looking harware inside.

 

I had my camera phone in the back seat and it was all over too fast for me to get it. All in all it was about 30 seconds and he was on the offramp while I was in the fast lane in stop-and-go traffic.

As for racing him I have a stillen stage 4 and some other stuff so I still would have taken him by quite a bit. I am really hoping that I see him (or her) again. Next time I don't care what is going on or who is in the car, I am going after it!!!!

 

This was not like those groups. This was all by itself and looked like a normal person. Maybe he was catching up to the rest of them. I didn't see inside.
