My feelings on the '07 G35 after reading this...
+ Love the new features
+ the touch screen navi is promising
- Disappointed in the small hp bump (I really thought they'd stomp Lexus in hp)
- the price is still unannounced and it sounds like it's pushing BMW/Lexus territory... not very certain Infiniti is on par for this!
- the design... I still loathe the front end of this car!
ugh... decisions, decisions...

It may hit $40k initially as dealerships won't be making too many deals. With that said, I anticipate the prices creeping down towards invoice after 6 months with Infiniti running some nice financing incentives. The bottom line with the G35 (in my opinion) is that it has to sell for considerably less money than the BMW 335 or Lexus IS350 if they want to compete. All things being equal, I'd still prefer the 335 if I could get one for $35K, and I've been a Nissan/Infiniti driver for over a decade now.
My guess is that I'll be able to get a 6-MT (loaded minus NAV) for around $35K by Summer 2007.

Bobby, I doubt that you'll be getting the new G anywhere near invoice that early. Probably around next August may you get invoice pricing on the Gs. Its a hot new car and dealerships won't sell those at invoice unless you have the occassional hard@$$ at the last hour of the last day of the month.
The M has been out for well over a year now and I have yet to see an M sell for invoice (even demo models sell for above invoice).
I also am disappointed with the horsepower. Wonder what the torque is going to be, don't think it'll be anything spectacular though.
Agreed, that Infiniti cannot compete at a head-to-head level with the BMW. If you've ever driven the IS350, its not nearly sporty enough to keep with the BMW or the Infiniti. Nice car nonetheless, but like the Acura TL, doesn't really know where it belongs.
I thought the new G was supposed to have a backup camera and adaptive front lighting system?
You only get the paddleshifters on the wheel and tire package with sport appearance which is NOT available with AWD?
I really want to see what happens with the new coupe...I think that'll be interesting.
Platinum Graphite should be a real interesting color...my guess is that its Diamond Graphite and Liquid Platinum mixed. That should be nice.

· Available RearView Monitor
· Optional Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), which automatically controls the headlight lighting pattern according to steering angle and vehicle speed to help provide better visibility at night
