Paddle shifters are exactly that; paddles behind the steering wheel (where your fingertips rest at 10 and 2) that you use to change gears in lieu of the manumatic shifter on the gearshift.

The paddle shifters shift the CVT into virtual "gears." This allows the driver to "downshift" to higher revs in case he/she needs more power. Otherwise, the CVT just keeps the engine in the lowest revs possible, hence giving CVT's better fuel efficiency than traditional automatics. If anything, it simply adds to the driving experience.

I seriously doubt the G will have a CVT. Nissan lowered the redline in the Maxima to accomodate the CVT. The G35 has an even higher redline then it did before...

Besides, if you look at the published info on the G35, it still says 5AT and 6MT.

Diamond Graphite is replacing Silverstone. There is a Platinum Ice. No * Graphite.

Exactly right Tom. It has always been called Diamond Graphite in the US and the same colour in Canada was and is called Silverstone.

Oh, I didn't know that Wayne, so DG was the color of Colin's coupe then, right? I know you could also get the graphite interior with LS, in the US, you couldn't.

Thats right. Colin's coupe was called Silverstone in Canada or Diamond Graphite in the US (but they were the same colour). For sure it's one of my favourites .

it doesnt sound like they did much to the coupe to improve on the 06. I guess they are saving that for the 08 model. Any accurate photos on the body styling? the 07 coupe concept looks beautiful but is that the actual design???

Da mayor. I read that the 2008 G Coupe will have the 3.7L V6. Is this true?

I also heard May as well. I believe I heard it on a car show on Speedvision. But, I wouldn't be surprised if it was bumped to august.

Da mayor, when is the best time to get a great deal on a brand new '06 coupe? I'm looking for a base model 6MT with no options. Ideally I'm searching for a black one.

When do the '07 coupes come out? I heard october. Is this correct?

When I am able to get a great deal on a base '06 6MT coupe within the northern Virginia(there are 3 dealerships in my area), how much can I expect for the "walk out the door price"?
