That means that with a redline of 7500, a sports model equipped with 245/45/18's will have the following top speeds:
Gear - 5AT - 6MT
1 - 42 - 42.5
2 - 68.5 - 69.4
3 - 105.5 - 99.3
4 - 161.3 - 126.9
5 - 192.2 - 161.3
6 - NA - 203.1
That means that both models will be geared to reach 190mph, and the 6mt will be geared to exceed 200mph. Interesting.

On all the 07 sedans, the X, the RWD and the 6MT, the rear diff is the same ratio 3.692:1 which should give a bit of a boost to compensate for the extra weight
The ratios in the 6MT remains the same as the older G35"s. This might give an edge to the autos.
Here are the comparisons between the 05 and the 07:
05 A/T --------------07 RWD, AWD A/T
1st
3.540 :1 -------------3.841:1
2nd
2.264:1 --------------2.352:1
3rd
1.471:1 --------------1.529:1
4th
1.000:1 --------------1.000:1
5th
0.834:1---------------0.839:1
Reverse
2.370:1---------------2.764:1
Final drive ratio
3.357:1 for the A/T RWD ----------------- 3.69:1 for all 07 models
3.538:1 for the 05 AWD and the 6MT
The standard transmission gearing in the 07 remains the same as the older G35 M/T cars
I think it looks much better in these pics then it does in the others. If you look at the manual transmission car, the dashboard stops higher up and rounds off instead of continuing to where the gearshift lever is. I guess its for easier shifting, but I dont like the look of it .

But it's not uncommon for them to mix & match preproduction bits & pieces to keep everyone guessing.
To me it looks like it should be the sport bumper though

....all it needs is a lip
